News for 22nd October 2023

I hope that you have had an enjoyable week even though the weather has been very mixed. I hope it hasn't stopped you doing all the fun things you had planned for your week.

I expect that the monthly gathering for Lunch this last week was fun for all the Ladies who attended.

This coming week is the Book Club meeting so I trust that a good many of you ladies will push the RSVP button to let us know that you intend to come along. If you haven't read the book or if this will be your first visit, please do not be put off. We would love you to join us!

We are beginning to look forward to our Monthly Happy Hour which is to be held in a member's home. As the event is very close to Halloween Sue has suggested that you may wish to dress up for the occasion. This is purely voluntary so if you do not wish to dress up just come in your normal clothing. If the weather is suitable and the mosquito count is low, Sue is intending to host the Happy Hour round her pool. She has indicated that if anyone wishes to bring their swimming costume, they are welcome to use the pool. It seems that the evening will be a very fun event indeed. Please push the RSVP button to let us know how many ladies are going to attend and please don't forget that partners are invited as well.

I will leave the details of our AGM and Christmas Lunch as both are very important events in our yearly calendar. Please put both dates into your diary and RSVP and let us know that you are coming. We would love to have a great turnout to both events.

I want to draw your attention to the AGM which is advertised in this Newsletter. This is going to be held at Jasmine and will take place during the time of our normal scheduled November Breakfast on November 2nd at 9.30 am. We will need to ask for a contribution of $10 per person towards the cost of the hire of the venue and Breakfast. We would love as many of you ladies to attend as possible. Without your input we don't know how we are doing or what you would like from your club so please do attend.

Also, we are starting to plan the Christmas Lunch. This will take place on Thursday 14th December. This is a week earlier than our normal Lunches and it will mean that we will not be holding our usual Bowling Group in December. Please put this date change in your diaries too! We felt that by the 21st of December many ladies may have left the island or be too busy with other commitments to attend our Lunch.

I hope to see you at an event soon. Please click here to see the full newsletter with all the event details.
