It has been quite a busy one in the ILC this week as we have had the Needlecrafters meeting and the Monthly Breakfast.
The Needlecrafters meeting was a wonderful afternoon with one friend teaching another friend how to accomplish a new craft. This was followed by a wonderful afternoon snack and a cup of tea. It just goes to prove that we can all learn something new. If you have something that you are not sure how to tackle, please come along and even if we are not sure you will have a great afternoon and a good cup of tea.
The Monthly Breakfast was held in a venue where I have never been to with the ILC before and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. We had a good turn out too.
Just to let you all know that a member of ours, Caryn Caffarelli, is singing at John Grey Auditorium on Friday 13th October at 7.00 pm. It is to be a highly entertaining evening of songs from Wicked and Sunset Boulevard to name but two, to benefit Jasmine. I am sure it will be a wonderful evening. Don't forget to get your tickets to benefit Jasmine.
I want to draw your attention to the AGM which is advertised in this Newsletter. This is going to be held at Jasmine and will take place during the time of our normal scheduled November Breakfast on November 2nd at 9.30 am. We will need to ask for a contribution of $10 per person towards the cost of the hire of the venue and Breakfast. We would love as many of you ladies to attend as possible. Without your input we don't know how we are doing or what you would like from your club so please do attend.
Also, we are starting to plan the Christmas Lunch. This will take place on Thursday 14th December. This is a week earlier than our normal Lunches and it will mean that we will not be holding our usual Bowling Group in December. Please put this date change in your diaries too! We felt that by the 21st of December many ladies may have left the island or be too busy with other commitments to attend our Lunch.
