News for 5th November 2023

Well, we have had a very busy week this week.

We have had the Gallery tour, our Needlecrafters meeting, and our Yearly A G M as well as our usual Pickleball and Mahjong meetings. I hope in all that there was something that kept you busy.

I was very pleased so many ladies turned out to Jasmin for our A G M this year. The venue is great and very fit for purpose. All the money is used for a great cause as well. The staff were all very helpful the facilities lended themselves to the occasion very well. I think the ladies who attended enjoyed the meeting.

Sheila Siegel was voted in as President for another year and Lindsay Todd was kept on as Secretary. Patricia Kohler was also elected to continue doing the events calendar as she does such an amazing job. Michelle Couraud was elected to continue with our media outreach.

Please don't think that this is a closed group of ladies we would love some help if you have ideas or time!

Unfortunately, the Cooking Class that was scheduled for this coming week has had to be cancelled as not enough ladies had signed up for the class.

The bowling group will be meeting on Thursday afternoon so please don't forget to RSVP for this fun afternoon.

The Christmas Lunch will take place on Thursday 14th December. This is a week earlier than our normal Lunches and it will mean that we will not be holding our usual Bowling Group in December. Please put this date change in your diaries. We felt that by the 21st of December many ladies may have left the island or be too busy with other commitments to attend our Lunch.

It is going to be a fun event. The menu is printed in the Newsletter so you can make you food choice before you arrive. This will enable you to have more time to chat with your friends. The price of the Lunch includes a welcome drink and a glass of wine. The ILC will be making a small contribution towards the cost of the meal as well as paying the grats. There will be raffle prizes at the event as well as a White Elephant table if you would like to take part.

Let us not forget the best Breakfast of the Year! Our Christmas Breakfast Bingo. We can't forget this event. It is the Breakfast that everyone looks forward to. Held in Patty's home. (Thank you Patty) A wonderful Breakfast is supplied, we have great games of Bingo, and we even win Prizes. What more could we want? Don't forget a donation for the Food Bank if you have anything to spare. The donations all look so pretty around the bottom of Patty's Christmas Tree. Please push the RSVP button.

I hope to see you at an event soon. All the details on upcoming events can be found in the full newsletter here.
